These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the products and services operated by Yalla Technologies Limited ("Yalla", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Nigeria, including the Yalla Ride mobile applications, the YallaGet ordering service, the yalla.ng and yallatechnologies.com websites, QuickPay payments, Yalla wallets, and related services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms.
1. The Services
- Yalla Ride — technology that connects riders and senders with independent keke drivers for rides and deliveries in Nigeria. Yalla provides the platform; transport is performed by drivers.
- YallaGet — a food and market ordering service operated by Yalla Technologies Limited, taking orders over WhatsApp for delivery by the Yalla fleet.
- QuickPay — a payment flow that lets customers pay drivers and merchants cashlessly, settled to Yalla wallets.
- Yalla wallet — a stored-balance feature used to pay for Services and receive earnings, credits, and refunds.
- Asset financing — vehicles and devices financed to eligible drivers under separate written financing agreements; those agreements govern where they conflict with these Terms.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information (including a valid phone number) and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account.
- We may suspend or close accounts used fraudulently, abusively, or in breach of these Terms.
3. Payments, fares, and refunds
- Fares and fees are shown before or at the time of the transaction. Payment may be made by cash, card, bank transfer, or Yalla wallet. Card and transfer payments are processed by licensed third-party payment processors (currently Paystack); Yalla does not store your full card details.
- Wallet balances are redeemable within the Services and are not interest-bearing.
- Where a paid service is not delivered, we will review and, where confirmed, refund to your original payment method or wallet.
4. QuickPay promotional offers
QuickPay driver incentives and customer discount offers are promotional campaigns subject to the following rules:
- Each campaign may include a name, reward or discount value, usage limits, start and end dates, transaction amount limits, and eligibility scope. Availability of a campaign does not guarantee eligibility for every user, and only transactions processed through the QuickPay flow count.
- Driver incentives: a driver may join one active driver offer at a time. The target count, reward amount, and transaction limits are locked at the time of joining, and later edits to the offer do not change locked terms. Progress counts only from qualifying QuickPay payments made after joining, within any configured minimum or maximum transaction amounts. On completion, the reward is issued as a wallet bonus credit. Leaving an offer before completion forfeits all progress, and a driver who withdraws from or completes an offer cannot rejoin that same offer.
- Customer offers: a customer may join one active customer offer at a time, on terms locked at the time of joining. Direct offers discount eligible trips immediately; conditional offers require the configured number of qualifying trips first (which do not themselves receive a discount), then apply the configured discount for the configured number of subsequent qualifying trips. A discount never exceeds the actual QuickPay payment amount for that trip. Leaving an offer before completion forfeits all progress, and a customer who withdraws from or completes an offer cannot rejoin that same offer.
- Yalla may create, activate, deactivate, update, limit, or withdraw campaigns at any time for future participation. Deactivation or expiry prevents new participation but does not automatically cancel an already active joined participation.
- Attempts to abuse, manipulate, or circumvent campaign rules may result in disqualification. Yalla may decline, reverse, or withhold campaign benefits where required by fraud checks, technical correction, or policy enforcement.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services — including interfering with their operation, attempting unauthorised access, using them for unlawful purposes, or harassing drivers, riders, merchants, or staff.
6. Liability
- The Services are provided with reasonable skill and care, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Yalla is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version will always be available at this page with its date of last update. Material changes will be communicated through the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time.
8. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Services are operated by Yalla Technologies Limited (RC 1730643), registered office: 10 Deji Odunuga Street, Anthony Village, Lagos, Nigeria. Questions and complaints: support@yalla.ng or +234 802 811 1656.
